Camp: Winter 2018 – Week 1


Ball Striking: enhances players’ ball-striking abilities. This camp is intended for attacking players – and those that simply want to score more goals and this camp exposes players to different ball-striking techniques.  Players perform a variety of drills and exercises that combine player movement with ball striking on goal.  Players are taught strategies for attacking the goal and insights into self-correcting their techniques. 

Goalkeepers require training specific to their role.  The camp will offer goalkeeper training to help keepers hone their skills and increase their confidence.  Camp will be conducted by SAT licensed technical staff specializing in the position.  Topics covered during the camp include: Basics, Shot stopping, Conditioning, Positioning, Game management,

Ball Mastery program focuses on an individual player’s ball control. 

Players learn to: Control the ball with both feet; use the inside foot, outside foot, sole and heel for quick ball movements and change of direction; maintain close ball control at pace; and, receive passes with the correct position to maintain close control and intended direction (directional first touch).

Players apply these technical skills in 1v1, 2v1 and 2v2 situations to improve their overall confidence with the ball. The Speed, Agility, Quickness (SAQ) component of this program offers age- and stage-appropriate drills and exercises to promote efficient and functional movement and enhanced physical literacy.

Time: 9:00 am – 11:30 am
Cost: $120 per player or $40/day

Location: Pine Trails Park, 10555 Trails End, Parkland
